3 blooming days!
So having decided to have a go at making Croissants, I woke up on Sunday morning and started to follow this recipe, from the Weekend Bakery. Unfortunately, I didn’t read through the recipe before starting, so it wasn’t until I got to the end of the Day 1 section, before it dawned on me that they actually meant Day 1, which also meant that there was likely to be more days.
Tuesday lunchtime, I finally took the baked product out of the oven.
They tasted amazing, but for goodness sakes, 3 Days!
No one is going to convince me that French people take three days to make their morning croissants!
I think I’ve got the temperature sussed now, so my next bake will not be slightly overdone.
